A design for the steps on the spiral staircase. Meh: too much bend on outside (as in might permanently distort tube). Initially frustrating, then realizing this is just the trip I’m on (finally reading Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test). If I want things to look not-overbuilt and experimental, I’m gonna underbuild and experiment and change to get there.
A summary of combinations attempted.
And, I think this’ll be it: complicated vs. what I’d hoped for, but should be sufficiently robust (feels that way testing it by jumping on it). Ooh: if too much bounce, can add another triangular member descending from midway horizontal on step and meeting at inner end of base. Also, try thicker plate (maybe corten from container?) to add strength.
